Question about "Zune" The MP3 player…?

November 2nd, 2008 -- Posted in mp3 htm | 2 Comments »

Do I have to buy music by surfing their store using the mp3 player or can I connnet the mp3 player to my computer and put music files onto it? Because when i saw the picture of the mp3 player, i couldn't see a place to connect a USB cable to…i'm talking about this model:

http://www.zune.net:80/en-US/products/zune30gb/default.htm

That's the 30gb model. I personally only need 2-3 gig, but the 30 gig model looks much better. please help me out.

The zune works just like an iPod (more or less). It has its own proprietary docking system on the bottom. The player comes with a USB cable with that connector which is what you use to transfer music to your computer. The new zunes (or the old 30 that you linked to with the updated firmware) will actually allow you to connect to your computer wirelessly and transfer songs that way too.

You can use any song assuming its in the correct format and not copy protected from another store. Your music goes on the same way that any songs you might end up buying from their store (which you need a computer to connect to anyways).

mp3/mp4 troubles… very frustrating!!!?

Recently I purchased an off brand 1 gb mp3/mp4 player. I would love to load a video onto it— but the video has to be AMV format. And everything I've tried has failed and left me more annoyed by the minute! I cannot get any dvd's into that format— does anyone know how to do this crap? Is there even a way to convert video to players? It all seems like a tangled mess… Here's a link that shows exactly what my player looks like etc:

Here's another link that tells you how to put video onto to it but didn't help:

Please tell me how to (in real human terms, not tech geek terms) how to do this!!!!
Thanks!

I have one of these players as well. To convert a video into the correct format using the software that came with the player, the video must be in mpg format first. Finding videos in that format can be difficult though. If you are looking to convert DVD movies you own into a format to play on your new player, you will need to buy software to do that.

Which mp3 player do you reckon is better? please help … ive included links to review …?

Is an ipod better?
www.apple.com/ipod
or zen mp3s?
http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/
or zune?
http://www.zune.net/en-US/products/default.htm

I always wanted to get an ipod except i heard that it craps out after a year cuz the battery is unreplaceable. I live in Canada if that matters.

Personally, i would go with Apple. iPods have been a hit in the US ever since they came out. Yeah ok… so you can't replace the battery easily on an iPod so what. The battery lasts long enough and for me my iPods have been great with durability and battery life. Zune and Zen players are OK. the downside is the looks are not so great and the ease of use are not so great either. iPods have been known for looks and the ease of use. Go with the iPod almost everyone has one, and when alot of people have one that obviously means they're good.

Take a look at my source, i trust this website for whatever review. And i'm sure it will help you with your decision on buying the MP3 player.
